EBATINCA organizes the 42nd NAMIC Project Week

For the fifth time, the NAMIC Project Week is held in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. EBATINCA is in charge of organizing the 42nd edition of the NAMIC Project Week, an international benchmark event in the field of medical image computing.

The event will take place from January 27 to 31, 2025, at the NH Imperial Playa Hotel, located on the iconic Las Canteras Beach. Over five days, researchers, developers, clinicians, and students from around the world will come together to collaborate on innovative projects aimed at advancing the processing, analysis, and visualization of medical images.

The NAMIC Project Week, promoted by the community of the National Alliance for Medical Image Computing (NAMIC), has established itself as a meeting point for experts in medical imaging. The event follows a hackathon format, where participants work in interdisciplinary teams to develop technological solutions, enhance open-source tools such as 3D Slicer, and address real clinical challenges.

The event will include collaborative work sessions and breakout sessions, offering spaces to share knowledge and explore new methodologies; and tangible results, as the progress made by the participating teams will be presented at the end of the week.
