EBATINCA Presents SITS to Major Companies
As part of the “Intelligent System for Sustainable Tourism based on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence” (SITS) project, Ebatinca has held various meetings with significant companies in the Canary Islands, seeking feedback from sustainability and energy sector specialists. Among the entities contacted are PLOCAN and ITC.
PLOCAN (Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands) is a research institute in marine science and technology with extensive experience in sustainability. Meanwhile, ITC (Technological Institute of the Canary Islands) focuses on technological innovation and sustainability across various sectors, such as renewable energy, water management, biotechnology, and ICT. Their extensive knowledge of the energy sector adds great value to their advice.
These conferences allowed Ebatinca to evaluate the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in an external environment, demonstrating the great utility of visualization for simplifying the understanding of complex data, such as the emission factor, and assisting in decision-making to improve sustainability in the business field. The quality of the generated forecasts was also positively assessed.
Additionally, there was significant interest in having aggregated data on a larger spatial scale, such as at the municipal level, and the ability to monitor historical emission data. Based on these comments, SITS plans to include these new functionalities in future versions to meet the identified demand.
This series of exchanges has allowed Ebatinca not only to obtain valuable information to improve SITS in future iterations but also to showcase our capabilities to perform all stages of data analysis to major companies. This positions Ebatinca as a potential collaborator in future projects.
